We have launched the "Everyday Aesthetics Project."
I create works with members who are interested in everyday aesthetics.
We are planning further exhibition-related activities in the future.
By focusing on familiar objects and events and experiencing sensations that would normally be overlooked, we offer a moment to re-encounter the gentle beauty found in familiar everyday life.
Everyday misgivings suddenly become words, and casual actions and scenery start to look a little different. We aim to create such small opportunities for awareness.
Project Examples
Tsuneyo Arai: Whisper in the Thread (2024)
Listen to small sounds through a string phone type device. You may discover sounds that you previously thought were noise or voices that you never noticed.
Atsushi Ono: Collective aesthetic sense of handwritten characters (2025)
This is an attempt to average out the fluctuations in brush strokes created by individual aesthetic sensibilities and explore the common sense of ``beautiful'' among people.
